24th

Over the 24th we decided to do something we have not done. We took 3 of the 4 kids camping. While this doesn't sound like it would be too big a deal, for us it was. We had to leave Teryn at home because we felt keeping an eye on 3 would be enough work. Anyway, we headed up to Fish Lake on Friday the 23rd. Before getting there we stopped at the Wayman's to chat for a bit. It was nice seeing them again it's been a long time.

Once up there we decided to just let the kids roam free for the most part. Jax was in heaven. He could walk around, get dirty and do what ever he wanted. I think he was confused at first that no one was yelling at him to get inside or put anything down. Bree and Addi had a blast. They were playing in the dirt, going for rides on the 4-wheelers and eating junk all day long. On day 2 we went to Johnson's Reservoir to kayak and sit at the waterside. As I was finishing a ride with Bree and going to get Addi, she fell on the rocks and cut her eye-brow open. It was a pretty good cut but we bandaged it up and she was ok. So needless to say she didn't get to kayak.

Even at night the kids did really good. I was worried Jax would be an issue sleeping but he wasn't. I think they wore themselves out so much they just zonked right out. On the day we were to head home Jax had a temper tantrum because he wanted on the 4-wheeler and there were already people sitting on it so he was ticked. Other than that I'd say it was a pretty successful camping trip. And of course we were in a trailer not a tent, that made life easier too.
