So Much

There has been a bit going on lately, but I'll try and hit the main points. It's busy this time of year for us because Sundee goes back to school. That means I'm left watching the kids for long hours during the day. Scary I know. She is teaching the 5th grade this year. I think it will be the first year she has students taller than her. :)

Last month, August, I ran the Top of Utah half marathon. If you look back on our blog I did this same one a year ago. It was my first one at that point and I did pretty good I thought. Well this year I destroyed my previous years time by about 10 minutes. This year I came in a 1 hr. 43 mins. and 40 seconds. Not only did I run it faster than last year it was a personal best for me. I also ran it in new shoes that I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to finish in. I ran it in my Vibram Five Finger shoes. It was a good experience for me.

Then after all that we have been battling Addi's ear infections for the last 4 or 5 months. We took her into the Dr. and he said it was time for a 2nd round of tubes. She had tubes when she was 6 months but they have since fallen out. So it was time to replace. When we had our consult we were told she needed her Adenoids out too. This means it would be a lengthy process and a little more painful. September 7th was the big day. I took her in bright and early and they performed the surgery. Once we were finished she was snotty sounding but overall seemed to be okay. I just kept her doped up on Tylenol. She was mopey and didn't say much. Her throat was a little sore so she wouldn't swallow which meant she spit and drooled a lot! I thought we were going to be in for a long couple days, but to my surprise the next day she was her normal self. She wasn't mopey, didn't complain of pain and was running screaming like her and Bree do. For those keeping a tally on her, Addi has had 4 surgery's in her short little life. Not too shabby.
I almost forgot to mention. Bree started pre-school and will be back in dance class too. She loves it! She is at the same school she was at last year and I think she was so excited she couldn't sleep. Thus making it a long afternoon before school. We are also glad she is back, now she won't be so bored around the house for the next few months. And Teryn has learned to crawl. Now I have to pay attention to where she is going. I figure if she rolls down the stairs once she will learn right?

And Jax, well he just keeps getting bigger. Not much to report on the beast. He is a happy go lucky monster that gets into, climbs on and jumps off everything. 3 girls have been less work than one tiny monster. But we love him for it. Can't wait for him to be old enough to play football!

So there it is. The month recap. Not too exciting since the last time but hey it's not where we go but who we are that make us exciting.
